It is not as big a deal with hydrochloric acid (muriatic acid) as it is with
concentrated sulfuric or nitric acids. Nevertheless, when adjusting the pH of
an aquarium you should never be using the 34% stuff directly into the tank.
It should be prediluted to about 1% to prevent damage to the aquarist and the
fish.
