I used to put a regular light blub into the aquarium. I used
electrical tape around the blub and the socket so water could not
enter and short out the blub. This was in my early years of
keeping fish. I saw it done and did the same, and it worked for me.
Now my problem is keeping the water cool, not warm. Anyone
know a way of doing this and still enjoy the warmth of the room
without feeling uncomfortable, and be able to keep killies that like it
a little cooler?
   Thanks,
   Bro. Paul

Has anyone experimented with the 40watt U shaped florescent bulbs with
the lower part of
the bulb actually submerged ?? . I intend to do so unless someone can
tell me it will be a waste of time and money.
