I didn't measure the temperature, but it wasn't pretty.  The live plants were 
just this side of frozen and crispy.  No, the plumbing isn't in for the water 
yet but that is a good idea.  I really think it is just the cold next to the 
wall.  The water actually was pulled from my a 60 gallon angelfish tank.  It 
too is sparcely populated with a number of live plants, and very well treated 
and filtered.  I think the water was fine.
