Re: Killlies in Bangkok?

Hello,

Eric, I'm glad you asked. It is good to have more killinutz in Thailand.

For the answer the only shop that have killi for sale at the moment is
Amazone. If you are in BKK, give the guy (Mr. Chu) a call at 01-8498522.
He directly import fish from Nigeria. So far, from his 2 shipments, there
are Fundolopanchax deltaense, Aphyosemion bitaniatum, and A. calliurum.
Also a few unidentified Epiplatys sp. (probably SEX, I don't know) and 3
Foerschichthys flavipinnis that live for only 3 days with me. You are
probably too late to get this shipment but keep in contact and I will let
you know when the next shipment come. Open fish boxes from Nigeria is like
open a box of chocolate, you never know what are inside. They don't come as
your order, none. Me and Thailand Killifish Club (TKC)members purchased
quite a lot of those fish. They are producing some eggs now but not enough
to distribute, yet. Their eggs and offspring should be available for give
away, sale and exchange this coming spring with code TKC attached with them.

Mr. Chu said that he will import 2 more shipment with in this month and will
not order any more killifish. He said they die too easy and there are only
a few people buying them. We hope to get Fdp. sjoestedi, Fdp. gardneri and
something else.

Max and Mae Nam at Sunday market, import Killifish once in a while but only
males came, and I don't count that as having killifish for sale.

Sorry for the Anual fish, though. They have not been nice to us here so
far. The only fish I manage to keep alive are those I hatched from eggs.
All others didn't live long enought to produce anything significant. :~(
We make do with what we have now and hopefully when spring come in USA, we
will be able to exchange for more species.

Anyway, give me a call at 01-493-9357. It should be easier to talk on the
phone. I will check with my friends if we have anything available for you.

Come join the club!!!

Happy Newyear,
Nonn Panitvong

Hi All,
I was just wondering if anyone would know where killifish can be obtained in
Bangkok?
I have a few species of Lamp-eyes and Panchax, but can not seem to find any
of the genus Nothobranchius and Aphyosemion.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Eric
