RE: @home problem (was Re: KillieTalk Digest V3 #1770)
Hi Wright,
The second largest ISP in the country is trading at under a buck a share as
of a month ago. One of the networks which folded under me was a part of
Excite and it is / will not just be the little guys who fold. For quite some
time the word on the street has been that AT&T invested way too much into
@home both at acquisition and in upkeep.
As far as hiding goes they have already invoked bankruptcy they have no
reason to hide. They can liquidate right out in the open.
Peace,
~RJ~

That is an AT&T address, so will probably only work for those particular
customers. I'm pretty sure @home crashed other loser ISPs, too. Also, I
think
it may take AT&T several days to get all their customers a new e-mail
address,
so some might work OK in a few days.
Recent comments, here, about small ISPs going away and leaving folks without
service certainly do not apply here. AT&T is one of the largest suppliers of
broadband service, and was even the largest shareholder in @home. There
ain't
no place to hide!

Current government regulations give aid and comfort to hijackers. The
Federal Aviation Administration has guaranteed hijackers that no one on
the plane is armed but them. That must be changed. --Walter Williams
