RE: Asking for some input: what do I do with java moss from a tank of diseased fish
Hi Burt,
I have tons of java moss. I grow it in most of my tanks. When I have it in a
tank with sick fish I toss it. I bleach or boil everything else. As you are
not entirely sure of what the disease is, get rid of it before it spreads
around your fish room.
I have tossed exotic sword plants etc. It was not easy. I have also saved
nice plants only to have a disease come back and even spread to other tanks
on a net etc.
So as much as I hate to give this advise, it is only after years of
experience and losing many nice fish to save some stupid plant that I tell
you to toss the moss.
Best regards,
~RJ~

Subject: Asking for some input: what do I do with java moss from a tank

Good evening!!! A question for the list-
I've just lost a bunch of Fp gardneri misaje to what I believe was velvet
(they had a brown sheen covering their bodies). I know from past posting
how
to clean the plastic/glass itmes from the tank, but HOW DO I TREAT THE NICE
CLUMP OF JAVA THAT WAS IN THE TANK????
I hate to have to throw it away, but am not sure how to "safely' use it
elsewhere.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
