Re: Tank Lids An answer and a couple of questions for oldtimers.
Adding a different idea to the mix, I made tops for all of my 2 1/2 gal tanks from the white plastic macrame grids that you get at the craft store for about 25 cents each. I cut the grid so it is slightly larger than the tank top. Then I purchase that white vinyl strip made for using along the edge of glass or plexiglass. It has a small channel in it and comes in 8 foot lengths. I cut this in lengths to suit the sides of the plastic grids. Then hot glue them
around the edges of the plastic grid. It is easy to cut a hole out in the grid to suit the location of your air line if necessary. It gives you a nice light but rigid cover that is easily lifted to feed, etc.
