Hello Ronnie,

I am not certain what, exactly, you mean by "stiffly mixed oatmeal", but
I use just dry oatmeal flakes sprinkled on the culture and gently wetted
with water from a spray bottle. It works fine and when not overfed, the
culture lasts a month or so.
