Re: KillieTalk Digest V3 #1440

Blackworms?

Hi! I'm new to Killiefish and this list. On sunday I just bought my first
pair of Killi's- A. Gardneri. I hit up my LFS for a portion of of
blackworms. Yesterday I tossed some in and they seemed to nibble a few, but
then ignored the rest. Bunches of them disappeared into my substrate &
whatnot. I have a few questions regarding feeding tips. If any of you
knowledgeable peeps can take a min to answer my newbie questions (off-list,
if you prefer), it would be greatly appreciated.

1.) How can I dispense them into the tank in a more efficient manner? What
I've done so far is:
-a huge spoonful of worms dumped onto my killie's heads, to make
        dang sure they see them
-the ubiquitouos cone thingy, which the worms promptly fled
-used a small green fish net in similar fashion as the cone.
        similar results as well: worms.exit.fast

2.) Do the escapee worms become pests? Do they breed? Is there any downside
to this, or will my killie's and such just munch them up if they show
themselves?
