Florida Panhandle Reefkeepers Society Inc (FPRS) is a non-profit organization run by local marine enthusiasts for local marine enthusiasts, and dedicated to the support of the hobby of marine aquarium keeping in the western panhandle and surrounding area. The purpose of the South Florida Aquarium Society, Inc. shall be to promulgate, further and advance the keeping, breeding, and studying of live specimens of freshwater aquatic life, and to educate and inform its members and the public whenever possible. Regular monthly meetings are normally on the second Monday of each month. Tropical Journal is published monthly by the South Florida Aquarium Society. A subscription to Tropical Journal is also included with each class membership. SWFMAS is a non-profit organization of aquarists dedicated to the care and conservation of marine life kept in reef aquariums. Our primary objective is to educate other area reef keepers on the requirements of caring for reef inverts, fish and coral propagation. We meet on the 3rd Saturday of every month, except for certain field trips and special events. Our meetings are open to the public and depending on the format , there might be an entry fee, usually to cover meeting costs. Annual membership is $15 for individuals, $20 for families.
