I think it will look cool but not beneficial in terms of plant growth.

One of the benefits of wavemaker in reef tank is to make
"random" current so detritus does not settle in a dead spot, and
can be removed by a protein skimmer or consumed in a refugium

In a plant tank mulm is supposed to be good.
