Acqua Mundo, Brasil
Opened in Dec, 2001 as the largest aquarium in the South America. We have almost 1,300,000 liters of salt and fresh water exhibits and more than 5,000 specimens, mainly South American species. For example our exhibits hold more than 70 elasmobranchs of 13 species of sharks and rays.

The Aquarium of Varna at the Museum of the Black Sea, Varna, Bulgaria
Built in 1906-1912 and opened to the public in 1932, this aquarium features flora and fauna of the Black Sea.
Aquaria KLCC, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Open daily 11am - 8pm. Highlights include the 90 metre long underwater tunnel, rare sand-tiger sharks, the 10 foot long gigantic Arapaima, touch pool encounter, and death-defying shark feedings at the Aqua Theatre.

Aquarium of the Pacific, Long Beach, California
Only U.S. public aquarium to focus only on the Pacific Ocean with galleries for Southern California/Baja, Northern Pacific, and Tropical Pacific. Aquaworld Aquarium, Crete, Greece
A small, "hand-made" aquarium specializing in local Mediterranean species and with a reptile garden. Created with love and care by a Scots exile in Greece. Filikis Etirias 7, Hersonissos. Open daily from 10.00 to 18.00 April to October, closed in winter. Admission: Adults 5 Euros, Children 3 Euros.
Argentario Mediterranean Aquarium, Italy
A new aquarium is born on 15 June 2001. It specializes in Mediterranean flora and fauna, about 100 species. We already have the sea exposition, Marine Biology Laboratory and Cetacean Rehabilitation Centre, linked to Centro Studi Cetacei.
Belle Isle Aquarium, Detroit, Michigan
The Belle Isle Aquarium is North America's oldest continuously operating public aquarium, having opened in 1904. It has 60 exhibits featuring the local freshwater fish, as well as tropical and marine displays. Open 10am-5pm daily, phone (248) 398-0900 for info.
The Berkshire Museum, Pittsfield Massachusetts

The Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Clearwater, Florida
Visiting the Aquarium will introduce you to local marine life, from sea urchins and sand dollars to sea turtles, dolphins and river otters. The Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery & Aquarium, Cold Spring, New York
After 99 Years as a New York State trout hatchery, the The Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery & Aquarium opened as a non profit educational facility in 1982. At the Aquarium, we display many species of freshwater fish, aquatic reptiles and amphibians-all of which are native to the wilds of New York. Our facilities include outdoor ponds, habitat exhibits, The Hatch House the Main Aquarium and the Fairchild Exhibit Building.

The National Aquarium of Scotland features British Coastal Life as well as other Tropical and Sub-Tropical exhibits. The National Aquarium, Washington, DC
Established in 1873. It's the oldest aquarium in the country. Hours are 9AM to 5PM every day, except Christmas. Admission fees are $2 for Adults, $.75 for children ages 2-10. Shark feeding is at 2:00PM on Sat., Mon., and Wed.. Piranhas are fed at 2:00 on Sun., Tues., and Thurs.. There are 80 exhibits, the largest is the 6,000 gallon shark tank. Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium, Nagoya, Japan
One of the largest aquariums in Japan, with a "Trip to the Antarctic" theme. About 36,000 living things consisting of 540 species, which live in five Oceans from Japan to the Antarctic, are exhibited. Penguin tanks in which the Antarctic environment has been reproduced, rotary tanks for turtles and many more tanks are installed. Virginia Marine Science Museum, Virginia Beach, Virginia
The Virginia Marine Science Museum is Virginia's largest aquarium and one of the top ten in the country. With over 800,000 gallons of aquariums and live animal habitats, the museum displays animals common to Virginia's marine and aquatic habitats. You will see sharks, river otters, harbor seals, sea turtles, fish, birds and more. The museum also houses the only 3-D IMAX theater in the state.
