Country United States, region Oklahoma listings:

(OMAS) Oklahoma Marine Aquarium Society, PO Box 471722, Tulsa, OK, 74147-1722, phone (918) 251-0349.
The Oklahoma Marine Aquarium Society was primarily initiated to provide aquarists access to a group of fellow hobbyists in order to gain and share experiences. The focus on learning through modern literature and methodologies resonates in every OMAS event. The individual skill levels of current OMAS members range from novice to advanced reef aquarists. People breeding clownfish and seahorses share their experience with those just learning the basics of keeping saltwater fish. A coral fragment trading network among advanced reef keepers has been established which also aids individuals just starting out in the reef hobby. No matter what your skill level may be, consider becoming a part of the states only dedicated marine aquarium society. Be prepared to share your ideas, learn from your fellow hobbyists, and participate in group workshops and special speaker presentations! The Oklahoma Marine Aquarium Society (OMAS) is a non-profit organization of marine aquarium hobbyists brought together by the desire to promote a better understanding of the life we keep in or home aquariums. Our focus is increasing the longevity of marine life in a controlled environment and to encourage that life to propagate freely. Only through education and the sharing of ideas can we expect a future for our hobby! The Marine Aquarium Societies of North America incorporates a large percentage of all the marine clubs in the United States and Canada. The Oklahoma Marine Aquarium Society is an active member of MASNA, and every current OMAS member is also a member of MASNA.
