Metal Halide Problems

I've seen a few post lately referring to using 6500k in place of 5500K
bulbs.  Anyone using IceCap 175MH electronic ballasts with a 6500K bulbs and
get them to work consistently?  I am having some problems getting my IceCap
175MH electronic ballasts and Coralife 6500K bulbs to strike consistently
when flipped on?  There for I can't use an on/off  timer on the lights which
is a pain.
