hmm. there's also a chinese-butterfly loach at:

(which looks very similar to the first)

and what I'm probably thinking of as an hillstream loach at:
http://www.loaches.com/linipaxhomatoptera_disparis.shtml

It seems that loaches-online has updated their site a little.
