Next question on the re-doing of my tank....

Has anyone tried (and had success) building their own undergravel substrate 
heating systems?

I read the krib, which seems to have a lot of DIY on the topic, but wanted 
to discuss this with an experienced human prior to implementing my own DIY 
UGH.

(DALECO's web page does not post the heating cables in their catalog).
