Bob, The best way is trim the length you want to keep and replant the Cabomba's. This process will keep those pretty tops on the plants. I have, in the past, cut the tops off and allowed the lower sections to re-sprout. They just do not look as good, although this is a good way to propagate additional stems. David Lorenzen in Dallas
