Hey Dinyar,
I've used 4 inch pots for spawning kribs after they dug underneath
the driftwood.
They seemed to appreciate the reduced work. All I did was use a Dremel
(high speed
cutting tool) with a bit for ceramics and metals. It worked great. In
addition, you could
use a wire brush to roughen the surface, which helps growing java or
willow moss on the
surface.
