I have never had amano shrimp, but I did have a few rainbow
shrimp. They worked out great until my clown loaches ran out of
snails to eat. Around the time that my snail problem resolved
(the reason for adding the clown loaches), my shrimp started
disappearing. I have the definate suspicion that they were
eaten. They had survived, molted, and grown over the two months
that I had them, so I don't think their disappearence was due to
a natural death. I still am not sure what caused their
disapearence, but I would warn people not to waste big bucks on
shrimp, if they have snail eating loaches.
