Assuming you've got a 4-wire switch, there should be a pair of black wires
and a pair of another color (usually red or blue).  The black wires are the
on/off circuit and the other color are the starter circuit.  Just clip both
other-colored wires near the switch, and attach them instead to the starter
or better yet to a starter socket.  Make sure the starter is sized for the
wattage of your bulb.
