I used this stuff for years in LA. I never had a problem with plants.

I did have chloramine kill a fish once, a spectacular male
Aphyosemion volcanum (which is poliaki these days, right ?)

I changed 40% of the water, and the fish immediately went very brightly colored
and started doing that helicoptor thing and died within 2 hours. The other
20 killies (of various species) were all fine.

I started using amquel and had no problems with fish or plants since
then.
