Fish-eating plant!

Wow. I never thought I'd see a plant kill a fish.

This morning when I looked in my tank, I found that one of my
black tetras had managed to swim halfway through a leaf of
my lace plant. He was quite stuck. I quickly grabbed some
scissors, snipped the leaf off, and then carefully extricated the
fish. He had lost a lot of scales in his struggles, and I'm not
terribly optimistic for a recovery.

Beware the aponogeton and shun the frumious bladderwort.
