Thanks for the input. 10000k bulbs do have a higher PAR rating than many
other color temp bulbs, but this for a "filtered" deeper water
situtation in saltwater coral reefs than FW plants which are near the
surface or in many cases above the water line sometimes only seasonally.
They have different specteral needs and hince different PAR rating also.


I believe the best rating is the growth rate of the plants themselves.
The plants will always be the best indicators IMO.

Seems like Ice cap needs to work on the ballast some more but looks very
promising for all aquarist.
