Preface:  I have a doctorate, but it's NOT in plants.

Stupid question: What are the weird things that have shown up on the 
undersides of my Aponongeton (species??)?  They don't move (suspect not 
invertebrate hitchikers); they're new; they have 2 "horn-like" things 
with a tuft of brown hair-like things in between.  Total structure is 
about 1/4" across.
