Fertilizer dosing frequency?

I built an automatic fertilizer doser about a week ago, and it seems to be working
well.

I have it set to dose 1/7 or a weeks fertilizer once a day, and I have started to
see my plants respond positivly already.

The timer it uses has up to 6 times I can set, so would it be worth it to dose 1/6
of a days fertilizer 6 times a day?  If so, would it be better to dose every 2
hours for a 12 hour period with the lights on, or would it be better to dose every
4 hours, half of the doses being administered during lights off and half dugin
lights on.

Or does it simply not matter, and I'm being anal about the whole thing...  :)
