If you can't keep snails alive, then in all probability, you would have too
much copper for clams also.  But if snails are thriving (groowing and
reproducing) then your copper levels SHOULD be safe (operative word here is
should).  I wouldn't invest in more than one or two  until I had seen those
two do okay.
