I pump RO from a garbage can to the tank approx. 25' away and 5' up using a
submersible pump and my Python.

As long as you have a pump that can handle the head pressure, it should work
ok. I use Gardena quick disconnects on everything so I can snap the Python
from the faucet for draining to the pump for filling. I also use one on the
RO unit so I can just snap it on the faucet as well.
