Have you considered a tank that's not square?

If a tank looks like this:

   ---------------
   I\             \
   I \             \ <--- Depth
   I  ---------------
   I  I             I
    \ I             I Height
      I-------------I
             Width

Make sure the Depth is greater than height, or you lose perspective in
there.

My ideal tank would be W=75cm, H=50cm, D=75cm!!!!
