SAE diet... bit of truth in humour??

Darren,

You may have hit upon something and I'm not trying to be funny. Before I
decided not to go that route I bleached a few plants and one thing it does
for sure is damage the plant at least a little bit, unavoidable... some
leaves more than others.. who knows...probably those that are older. It
could well be that SAEs DO eat bleached plants more readily because the
leaves are damaged and they detect the dying tissue. I'll be moving some
fish around soon and have lots of expendable sprigs of plants. Maybe I'll
experiment.
