Re: HOT Magnum Filter

Regarding the HOT Magnum filter. I use it on a thirty gallon plant tank
primarily to move water. The plants are doing a fine job of filtration. I
attached a piece of PVC tube to the HOT outlet tube, then attached a PVC elbow
and a 28" piece of PVC tube with holes drilled in it to the first PVC tube. That
created a perforated outlet tube that goes along the back of the tank at the
bottom. Results....great water movement and dispersion without surface
disturbance and all the debris collects to the front of the tank, making it very
easy to remove at water changes. That technique also eliminates "dead" spots in
the tank and moderates the strength of the current.
