It is relatively easy to grow. In fact there are several people in
Ottawa who grow it in soft water and moderately low lighting
(of 1.2 watts/gallon). I have found that it attracts hair and
green algaes, more so than other plants in the tank. Carbon
dioxide addition is optional.
