forget the bentonite. Use regular clay. Its perfectly fine. IMHO, the
soil materials available in your neighbourhood, are superior to anything
else. Soils contain iron and most other nutrients needed for plant
growth although the supply of some nutrients may need to be supplemented
every 3-6 months or so. Some nutrients should be supplied in the water
as plants require them in dissolved form (K, Mg, Ca and CO2). For more
