CO2 and O2 relationship
When all other nutrients are in adequate supply and where lighting is
good, an increase in CO2 can actually cause an increase in
photosynthesis and result in an increase in oxygen concentration.
Oxygen deficit occurs when there are too many biological demands on a
limited oxygen supply. (limited by photosynthesis, plant mass, light and
surface interaction) In a well lit, well planted tank more oxygen comes
from the plants. In conventional aquaria, it comes from the air.
