Hi Henry!~ When I set up my 125g planted tank, I got the substrate, lights,
heater etc. in, filled the tank about 1/2 way with water, and planted all my
plants.  After about 2 weeks, I added a dozen oto's.  I waited another month
befor I slowly began adding fish.  This method worked for my tank as all
levels remained stable and all fish were, and are, fine!
