This is anecdotal, but for what it is worth, I have had trouble with Tritons combined with Corallife ballasts. My electronic Corallife ballasts will start the T12 Tritons (24" for example), but NOT the T8 Tritons (36" size). I don't know the technical reason for this. Roxanne Bittman
