The problem of a cloud being formed by removing vals from a substrate with a clay/vermiculite base is easily solved. Just remove the plants when you are doing a water change (I change 50% weekly). Most of the cloudy water will be vacuumed up and the rest will settle out in a few hours. Joe Hildreth
