A simple way to avoid the filter sucking in the yeast mixture is to run your
CO2 line below and outside of the outside power filter intake. The CO2
bubbles simply flow up into the intake when the filter is running and bubble
up the side when the intake is clogged or the filter is off. I just put
rubber bands to hold the airline tube to the outside of the filter intake
extension tube.
