Re: Homegrown Hydroponics Trace Element Mix

someone (sorry, i nuked the message) recently mentioned the a canadian
company (Homegrown Hydroponics, ( http://www.hydroponics.com ), offers a
"brew-it-yerself" fertiliser mix. for those who can't readily get their
hands on plantex's csm, here's the poop:

for $25 canadian ( $17.30 USD as of ten minutes ago ) plus shipping,
you'll receive six packages containing:

#1: CaNO3, 500g
#2: K2SO4, 500g
#3: KNO3, 500g
#4: KH2PO4, 500g
#5: MgSO4, 500g
#6: "Chelated Trace Element Mix", 150g

according to these guys, the trace mix looks like this:

> Guaranteed Analysis
> Chelated Micronutrients: Actual
> Fe 7%
> Mn 2%
> Zn 0.4%
> Cu 0.10%
> B 1.3%
> Mo 0.06%
> Source: tetrasodium ethylenediamine tetra-acetate, and diethylene > triamine pentaacetate.
> EDTA (minimum) 42%
> DTPA (minimum) 13%

now, according to the published poop on plantex and millers,

Plantex CSM Miller's Microplex
--------------------------------------
Fe 7.0 % 4.0%
Mn 2.0 % 4.0 %
Mg 1.5 % 1.4 %
Zn 0.4 % 1.5 %
Cu 0.1 % 1.5 %
Mo 0.05 % ---
B --- 0.5 %
Co --- 0.05 %
Mb --- 0.1 %

sooo, this looks as if it may be a decent replacement for csm,
if your local retailers don't stock plantex.
