Jefferson,
Please don't take this unkindly but you shouldn't be thinking about adding
CO2 to a tank until you know more about it. Are you thinking of "air"
bubbles -- like from an air stone? Those are adding oxygen to the water and
will drive off CO2. CO2 is short for Carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is good
plant fertilizer but too much of it will kill your fish. And yes it will
lower pH.
