Thanks to everyone who replied to my quiry.  (I was wondering if the
whitish/streaky ramshorn snail shells in my tank could also be an early 
sign/warning of a plant deficiency.)  
	I try to keep my pH constant at 7.5  and my water is medium hard,
so maybe as suggested it could be Ca deficiency. My tap water has 40mg/L
so maybe my tank needs a little more Ca? - Chris
