Re:carpet plants



One favorite I haven't seen mentioned: Dwarf Sagittaria (Sagittaria
sublata)  Be careful when buying, this plant is available in many
subtypes, some of which aren't really very "dwarf".  Mine has leaves up to
six inches long but seldom gets over 3 inches high because they lay down
sideways.  It looks a lot like Echinodorus tenellus and spreads fast by
runners. I have a carpet in my tank from one orignal plant.  It also does
well in moderate light, which is not the case with quite a few of
the other carpet types.
