I suspect that a biologist might have more to say about it.  I'm neither
biologist or chemist, but I have seen the pink tone in some of my batches.
I see it near the end of the productive life of a batch.  Whatever might
cause it, it is doesn't seem to harm the batch, as it appears in otherwise
normal, productive batches.
