Simone:

I would suggest the following for your calcium source that would not shock
the fish that you are trying to breed:

	Put a cupful of oyster shell (used for chicken grit) in your aquarium or
filter, or
	Buy some Plaster of Paris and mold some cubes in a plastic ice cube tray
and place one in your aquarium.
	When it  is gone, replace it with another, or
	Place a clam shell or piece of coral in your aquarium (this is much slower
for results)

If it were my choice, I would use the plaster.
