Dennerle

Hi there,
            I have a 15 gallon tank with a 18 Watt Trocal lamp (Dennerle).
I was thinking that maybe this wattage is too low for my aquarium and that
maybe I could bye another lamp maybe a Triton or another Dennerle and keep
it on only for 5 or 4 hours a day and leave the other on for 10 hours a
day.
I'd like to put some red plant in my aquarium Dennerle is a good lamp for
this?
Trocal fluorescent bulbs are good lamps for plants?
