White spot disease

If your water is soft, you might try adding a small chunk of limestone or
dolomite to the tank to raise the hardness.  I read that harder or saltier
water causes the fish to secrete more body slime, making it more difficult
for ich to attach.  This won't get rid of the existing cysts, but it might
help keep free-swimming ich from infecting the fish.
