Cladophora is relatively dark green, and it branches quite a bit. it is not
mushy feeling or soft. Ramshorn snails can't eat it. It typically forms
bushy clumps at the bottom of the tank that can grow together forming solid
mass. it attaches firmly to gravel or the stems of plants, and if you try
to pull it off, it breaks, leaving a portion still attached. It is very
tolerant of dim light and can last for years with practically no light at
all.
