Re: Java Fern melting



Karen:

All of the varieties of Java Fern except the "Tropica" (the one that
looks like a dandelion leaf) are subject to the "melting" syndrome.  The
Windelov variety is especially affected, and the small-leaved variety is
subject to it as well.  It seems to happen simultaneously in all my
tanks.  Last year it was in May; I'm starting to notice it happening
now.  Most of the melting leaves produce numerous adventititous
plantlets.  There are no water chemistry changes noted, and no other
plant is affected.  Very strange.  Anyone have any clues?
