Red Emersed Leaves

Hi all,

Red emersed leaves are a sign of "protective" pigments being produced by the leaves to cope with
high levels of light. Light has a bad habit of tearing up chlorophyll (kind of a catch22) and wneh
light levels increase the plants make additional pigments that can sop up some of the extra light
sparing the chlorophyll molecules.
