You might also consider using chrome colored Monokote.  This is a mylar 
based covering for model airplanes. It has a heat activated adhesive on one 
side so you just iron it on.  Apply a little more heat and it shrinks to 
remove wrinkles.  A 26" x 72" roll cost about $12.  Get it at your local 
hobby shop or you could mail order from Tower Hobbies 
(www.towerhobbies.com).
