Those of you whose email software automatically wraps long lines
for display may be unaware of the problems created for those of us
with email software which is not GUI based or which performs line
editing based on new-line characters (Unix systems typ.)
This problem is especially troublesome when you have to edit a
reply and using a dial-in link & PC software emulating VT-100
terminal. I won't go into further detail. YES, please do press the
Enter or Return key when your lines get about 75 characters in
length. James Purchase was one of the one's whose messages were causing
me problems. Since he changed his typing habits, viola! no more problems.
Thank you JP!
from an old Unix User.
